The purpose of this book is to present the Köppen climate classification for the projecting future climate in South American countries, based on the climate projections from the downscaling of two global climate models, and their ensemble, and for two greenhouse gases scenarios. In addition, a geographical information system was used to provide detailed information for end users regarding multiple applications for forest and agricultural production in the continent. Finally, a special application is provided of the dynamics of future climate change for six major forest species (Eucalypt, Pine, Teak, Wattle, Rubber, Poplar) in five countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, and Uruguay) of South America.
